Services FAQs

Common questions

Do you do the work yourselves or subcontract?
Septic Tank Quotes is a specialist network — we match every enquiry with a verified local partner who delivers the work directly. You deal with one company, receive one written quote, and have a single point of accountability throughout the job.
How do you vet your network partners?
Every partner must evidence: relevant trade insurance, waste carrier licence (where applicable), registration with a building regulations competent persons scheme, references from recent installs, and compliance with current UK standards. We audit partners periodically and remove any that fall short.
Is there a call-out charge for surveys?
The survey is itself the charged service — typically £150–£400 depending on type. There is no additional call-out fee. If you proceed to a replacement or installation, many partners deduct the survey fee from the final installation price.
Can you handle the Environment Agency permit for me?
Yes. Where an EA permit is required (typically sewage treatment plant discharging to a watercourse), your matched specialist handles the submission, supporting paperwork and fees as part of the project scope.
Do you cover Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland?
Yes. Our partner network covers England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Regulation varies — Scotland uses SEPA, Northern Ireland uses NIEA — and our partners are familiar with the local regime.
